Smart Utilities Hub ("we," "us," "our," "the Site") is operated by Organically Grown, an independent developer based in South Africa. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Site collects, how it's used, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We do not require account creation, and we do not collect personal information through sign-up forms. Smart Utilities Hub's calculators and converters are designed to be used without providing any personal data.

Local browser storage. Some tools save your calculation history, favorited tools, and preferences (such as preferred currency or units) directly in your browser's local storage. This information is stored only on your own device and is never transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for smartutilitieshub.com.

Third-party data (Currency Converter). Our Currency Converter tool sends the currency codes and amount you enter to a third-party exchange rate provider in order to return a conversion result. This provider does not, to our knowledge, receive any personally identifying information as part of this request. We encourage you to review that provider's own privacy practices if you have concerns.

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited) for security and operational purposes. We do not use this information to personally identify visitors.

2. Cookies and Advertising

Smart Utilities Hub intends to use Google AdSense to display advertising. Once active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage your ad personalization settings, at Google's Ads Settings page (adssettings.google.com) and Google's Privacy & Terms site.

We may also use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how the Site is used in aggregate. Where such tools are used, they do not identify you personally.

3. Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area (GDPR): you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Given that Smart Utilities Hub does not maintain user accounts or a database of personal information, most requests can be satisfied simply by clearing your local browser storage.

If you are a California resident (CCPA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected about you and to request its deletion. As above, we do not sell personal information, and we hold minimal data outside of what's stored locally in your own browser.

If you are in South Africa (POPIA): we process information in a manner consistent with the Protection of Personal Information Act, and you may direct any queries regarding your information to the contact details below.

4. Children's Privacy

Smart Utilities Hub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
